The latest flagship from the Korean tech giant, LG G4 was launched a few days back and today, we are going to compare it with the other rivals existing in the market. These are Samsung Galaxy S6, Apple iPhone 6 and HTC One M9. So, let’s go ahead and see which one is the best out of these quad flagships.

LG G4 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6:

Looking at the physique of the LG G4, it has a 5.5-inches quad HD IPS display, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S6 has the quad HD super AMOLED display which is better than IPS display in terms of viewing angle and color generation. On the front, the LG G4 has an 8-megapixels camera able to shoot FHD videos and is good for video conferencing and video chats whereas on the Samsung Galaxy S6, it is a 5-megapixel of camera that is too able to shoot FHD videos and is best in its class.

On the rear side, both of these devices carry a 16-megapixel of camera that is able to shoot 4K videos and are best in their class. Both these devices have Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the front, but Samsung Galaxy s6 has it on the rear side too for a better protection. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has an Aluminium alloy body that is hard enough to survive higher drops, but LG G4 has a plastic body on the rest of the part.

Going towards the internal part, the LG G4 is powered by a dual core 1.8 GHz Cortex A57 and 1.44 GHz quad core Cortex A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip mated with a 3GB of RAM, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S6 is powered by 1.5 GHz quad core A53 and 2.1 GHz quad core Cortex A57 Samsung Exynos 7420 chips mated with 3GB DDR4 RAM which makes the performance better on the Galaxy S6 as compare to G4.  The graphics on LG G4 is rendered by Adreno 418 GPU whereas on S6, it is Mali T760 GPU and performance is slightly better on Mali T760 GPU.

On the vacancy side, the LG G4 is only available in 32GB internal storage and it can be expandable up to 128GB using a MicroSD card, whereas on Samsung Galaxy S6, it is available in three memory variants i.e., 32GB, 64GB and 128GB and this time there is no expandability on Samsung S6. On the software side, both these devices run on Android 5.0.1 lollipop for LG G4 and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop for Galaxy s6. The LG G4 survives on 3,000mAh battery which is longer and better than Samsung Galaxy S6’s 2,550mAh battery.

Looking at the physique of the LG G4, it has a 5.5-inches quad HD IPS display, whereas the Apple iPhone 6  has an LED-backlit IPS display, which is not better than  display in terms of viewing angle and color generation than LG G4. On the front, the LG G4 has an 8-megapixels camera able to shoot FHD videos and is good for video conferencing and video chats whereas on the Apple iPhone 6, it is a 1.2-megapixel Facetime HD camera and is best in its class.

On the rear side, LG G4 carry a 16-megapixel of camera that is able to shoot 4K videos and is best in their class and on the Apple iPhone 6, it is still 8-megapixel camera with a dual tone LED flash. LG G4 has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the front, but Apple iPhone 6 has an Ion-strengthened glass with an oleo phobic coating. Apple iPhone 6 has an Aluminium alloy body that is hard enough to survive higher drops, but LG G4 has a plastic body on the rest of the part.

Going towards the internal part, the LG G4 is powered by a dual core 1.8 GHz Cortex A57 and i.44 GHz quad core Cortex A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip mated with a 3GB of RAM, whereas the Apple iPhone 6 is powered by Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based) mated with 1GB DDR3 RAM which makes the performance better on the LG G4 as compare to iPhone 6.  The graphics on LG G4 is rendered by Adreno 418 GPU whereas on Apple iPhone 6, it is PowerVR GX6450 GPU and performance is slightly better on Adreno 418 GPU.

On the vacant side, the LG G4 is only available in 32GB internal storage and it can be expandable up to 128GB using a MicroSD card, whereas on Apple iPhone 6, it is available in three memory variants i.e., 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. On the software side, LG G4 runs on Android 5.0.1 lollipop and iOS 8.1.3 for Apple iPhone 6. The LG G4 survives on 3,000mAh battery which is longer and better than Apple iPhone 6 having a 1,810mAh battery.

LG G4 vs. HTC M9:

HTC One M9+

Looking at the physique of the LG G4, it has a 5.5-inches quad HD IPS display, whereas the HTC M9 has a super LCD 3 display, which is better than IPS display in terms of viewing angle and color generation. On the front, the LG G4 has an 8-megapixels camera able to shoot FHD videos and is good for video conferencing and video chats whereas on the HTC M9, it is a 4-megapixel Ultrapixel camera that is too able to shoot FHD videos and is best in its class.

On the rear side, LG G4  carry a 16-megapixel of camera that is able to shoot 4K videos and is best in its class, whereas on HTC M9, it is 20.7-Megapixel camera that is too able to shoot 4K videos and is better than the LG G4’s rear camera. Both these devices have Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the front, but HTC M9 has an Aluminium alloy body on the back that is hard enough to survive some minor drops whereas LG G4 has a plastic body on the rest of the part.

On the vacant side, both of these devices are available in 32GB internal storage and it can be expandable up to 128GB using a MicroSD on both. On the software side, both these devices run on Android 5.0.1 lollipop out of the box. The LG G4 survives on 3,000mAh battery which is longer and better than HTC M9 having a 2,840mAh battery.

The LG G4 is a really good device and the new metal finish included by the company is really good. It is a very tough call for us, but at this moment, LG G4 looks quite sharp and this smartphone can change the game for LG. At the end of the day, it depends upon your choice also as Android and iOS are totally different with different features.
