A few months ago, we came to knew that Xiaomi is finally bringing its fifth generation Mi device at the Mobile World Congress 2016. So, here you go, Xiaomi Mi 5 is launched at MWC 2016 today. The company was pleased to announce their device, but this is not the only device that they have launched today. Along with the Xiaomi Mi 5, the smartphone manufacturing company has announced the Xioami Mi 4S also. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is coming with a 5.15-inch Full HD display which offers a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. There are 16 LED lights present behind this LCD display. The smartphone is actually launched in three different variants. And the company claimed that the display of this device is 17% more power efficient. .
The Xiaomi Mi 5 weighs around 129g and it is 7.25mm thick, which means that it is quite thin. The Apple iPhone 6 is 6.9mm thin and thus, you can guess how much thin this smartphone is. The smartphone is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and it is wrapped with the MiUi 7. The top model of this handset sports a 3D Ceramic body and water resistance capabilities. The smartphone will be available with black glass too,
The Xiaomi Mi 5 is powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. The consumers will be glad to know that they have used this SoC in all of their three variants. So, the three variants can be differentiated as follow:
- The top model comes with–SD 820 2.15 GHz + 4GB + 128GB + Ceramic body; Priced at Yuan 2699 or Rs. 28,300.
- The mediocre one comes with–SD 820 2.15 GHz + 3GB + 64GB 3D glass; Priced at Yuan 2299 or Rs. 24,000.
- The last one comes with–SD 820 1.8GHz + 3GB + 32GB3D glass; Priced at Yuan 1999 or Rs. 20,950.
These models are going to be available across the world. The Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro is the top end version and it comes with Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM. The consumers will be amazed to know that this smartphone has got a score of 142,084 on ANtutu Benchmark. On the back of this device there us a 16-Megpaixel camera and they have used the Sony sensor this time along with that they have used the 6P lens, sapphire glass protection lens and 4-axis OIS.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro is also capable of shooting 4K UHD videos and for that the company has used Qualcomm’s Spectra image processor. On the front side, there is a 4-Megapixel camera which can also be found in the Mi Note. On connectivity features front, the smartphone is coming with 4G+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC(which can be used for both reading and writing) and how can we forget it is a dual-SIM device,
The Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with a 3000mAh battery and it supports QuickCharge 3.0 as well, which is 20% faster than it’s predecessor.
