Videocon A29

Videocon has lost it’s touch a few years back but, in 2013 they have entered the market again with their smartphone and it did a good job for the company. With those hopes, Videocon A29 has been launched in India today and this smartphone is a budget-friendly device and is surely going to give a good competition as it is running on Android operating system as well.

The Videocon A29 is having a 4-inch WVGA touch display which is 480 x 800 pixels in resolution. There is nothing mentioned regarding the pixel density of this smartphone and we do not think that it is going to be a good one.

This smartphone features a single SIM-card slot and is having connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB pot and a 3.5mm AV jack as well along with GPS/AGPS. The Videocon A29 is running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and it is not going to receive anykind of software updates in the future.

The Videocon A29 is packing a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. Well, at this price point a dual-core processor is quite good to make your money count. It is having an internal storage of 4GB and you can expand the external storage upto 32GB via a microSD card. Well, the users will not get complete 4GB memory. This smartphone is featuring a 3.2-Megapixel camera on the back and you should not expect any great shakes from this camera.

This device is equipped with a VGA front facing camera for making the video calls. Also, it is going to get some special cellular treatments from the vendor itself. This is not the first cellular company in India which has launched a handset, but Idea is also in this race. Anyway, there is a 1,400mAh battery to provide power to this device. It is priced at Rs. 5,799/-.
