A few days ago, we heard from a trusted source that the company is planning to launch a speaker. Well, we now found that it is true. We have received an email from Sony stating that this product is now live. Meet the new Sony SRS-X99 Wireless Speaker with open arms. This is the latest speaker from the company and not to forget, it is an expensive device. It may be the best wireless speaker of this year, but we have to test this thing out. This is one of the premium speakers of the year for sure. The Sony SRS-X99 is actually combined of seven speakers. Interesting! There are two super tweeters, two front tweeters, two mid-range drivers and a single subwoofer. In the image above, the readers can guess how this speaker looks. It reminds us about the Panasonic SC HTB3GW-K Home Theater Sound Bar at least in design, but these are much more premium than those.

The Sony SRS-X99 provides you HI-Resolution listening too. It supports all the file formats like MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC and DSD. It also improves the sounds having low frequency and for that, the company is using the DSEE-HX. They have used the SongPal Link functionality, which allows the consumer to stream their music through their house. If you don’t know SongPal App is also there, check out it for once and you will be able to understand this thing more deeply.

So, it is a Sony product, right? What about the Apple users? Can they stream their music too? Yes! The Apple users can also enjoy the music streaming functionality. The Embedded Wi-Fi system allows the Sony SRS-X99 to access iTunes via Airplay or Spotify content via a Wi-Fi network or accessing music files on a DLNA compatible PC or Home Media Server. Along with Wi-Fi, consumers can also use Bluetooth and NFC. It also carries the ability to playback songs in a laptop via a network like DLNA.

The Sony SRS-X99 Wireless Speaker is priced at Rs. 49,990 and it will be available by January, 29.
