A few years back, Android and iOS saw a new rival–Tizen, which was later adopted by Samsung. Till this date, we heard about the Tizen smartphone a lot of times but we never saw the Korean tech giant talking too much about their Tizen device. In 2014, the company said that they will launch a Tizen smartphone, but they did not. Anyway, the day has finally arrived, today, Samsung Z1 has been launched in India and it is a Tizen smartphone. The smartphone just looks like the mini Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The Samsung Z1 specs have been mentioned below and it is a budget friendly smartphone.
The Samsung Z1 specs include a 4-inch WVGA PLS TFT display which offers a screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is packing a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 768MB of RAM. The internal storage of this device is 4GB and you can expand the external storage upto 64GB via a microSD card.
The handset comes with a 3.1-Megapixel camera on the back and you should not expect any great shakes from this camera. On front, there is a VGA camera present. It is a dual-SIM device and has connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB port and a 3.5mm AV jack as well. It is running on Tizen OS 2.3. The company has also revealed that this device has been completely manufactured in India. A 1,500mAh battery is there to provide power to the smartphone.
The device also comes with built-in Antivirus, SOS alert feature and 14 regional languages of the country. The Samsung Z1 has been priced at Rs. 5,700/-. The Tizen based handset is going to face a lot of competition as the Android smartphones are also there in this price range and all Android One smartphones are going to give it a tough competition. It will be available now in Wine Red, White and Black.
