Samsung has launched many wearables in the tech market and there s a very big list. Earlier this year, the company launched the Samsung Gear 2 and Samsung Gear Fit. These were the two new tech wearables by the Korean giant. Then, over at IFA, Berlin the company launched an another smartwatch and they named it as the Samsung Gear S. Recently, Samsung India held a press conference in New Delhi where they launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 along with the Samsung Gear S.

5The Samsung Gear S is the latest smartwatch from the Korean tech giant and they did a lot of home work before launching this device into the market. The device is carrying a 2-inch curved Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which offers a screen resolution of 360 x 480 pixels. The pixel density of this device is 300ppi.  The screen looks quite gorgeous and in the futur we will surely see the HD display getting into the smartwatch area as well. Also, the texts look quite sharp and the display is quite brigt. It is much more better than the Samsung Gear 2 which we have seen earlier this year.

2The Samsung Gear S is a solid smartwatch and you can select a variety of color options and you can change the band also. The smartwatch has a nice metal bezel on it. It is also having that plastic band. The band looks quite nice and premium. The most interesting feature which we saw on this device was the SIM card inserting feature. So, there is no requirement of phones now. You are now independent and you are on your own now. You can make calls from your smarwatch.

1 There are two capacitive touch buttons present around the hardware menu button which is present on the front of this device. This smartwatch is running on the Tizen based wearable platform. It packs a 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. It is also going to keep a sharp eye on your health. This device comes with the heart rate sensor and the pedometer and other applications are are also present in this device.

The Samsung Gear S is 39.8 x 58.3 x 12.5 mm in dimensions and it is a very light weighted device. It is having connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 port etc. This is a IP67 certified device which means that it is splash-proof and rsistant to dirt. It also comes with an ultra power saving mode. There is a on screen QWERTY keyboard present too for texting and doing emails. There is a 3×4 keyboard present. The missing features is that it is not having a camera which we saw on the Samsung Gear 2.
