Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung Galaxy S7A few months ago, we created a list of most anticipated smartphones of 2016 and like every year, Samsung was at the top. Yesterday, the Korean tech giant held the press conference, where they announced the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Both these smartphones are amazing, These are the successors to the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, but they are improved in many ways. The consumers will like this smartphone because of it’s performance, looks etc. but this time, the Korean tech giant managed to correct their mistake.  So, Samsung has added microSD card slots again in these smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are priced at Rs. 48,900  and Rs. 56,900 respectively. Samsung Galaxy S7 is coming with a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, which supports a  screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The pixel density of this display is 577ppi. The same screen technology was adopted by the Korean tech giant in their S6. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, supporting same screen resolution, but a lower PPI of 534.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are both running on Android Marshmallow, out of the box. These devices are supporting same connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge supports 4G CAT 9, which will allow you smartphone to get more data connectivity speed.

Both these devices are now IP68 certified, which means that they can be in the water for 30 minutes, but they are not waterproof, so keep that in mind. Both these devices are using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which are paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. These are Oca-Core processors placed in both these devices individually.

Samsung Galaxy S7 is thicker as compared the S7 Edge, and both these devices are coming wit same 12-Megapixel cameras, which are using the Dual Pixel technology. So, for the very first time the company has introduced this technology and the results were outstanding. We have compared the low light photography of this phone with Apple iPhone 6 and the results were outstanding. Both of them supports Wired and Wireless fast charging. They are supporting fingerprint scanner too.

On the front of both these devices, the users can find a 5-Megapixel camera which also captures very good selfies. Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will be available in India starting from March 18, 2016, in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium colors. The pre-booking opens from March 8th for both the devices and continues till March 17, 2016. All customers who pre-book during this period will receive a Gear VR free with the device.

Samsung has partnered with Vodafone, which will offer twice voice and data for the first 6 months to select Vodafone Red plan customers.

Samsung is also offering multiple mobile accessories like Clear Cover, Battery Pack, Flip Wallet, LED View Cover, S View Cover, Clear View Cover and Wireless Charger Stand on the purchase of the new smartphones.
