Samsung has held their Blogathon for the launch of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Well, both these devices were launched at MWC and we knew that it is coming to India very soon. The Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5 was not a major hit, so, the Korean tech giant has done a lot of homework this time to get some attention due to their decreasing sales of high end phones. The Galaxy S5 saw a drastic drop in the price just after a few weeks. So, this time we think that the company has done a good job than the last time and also, they kept the price tag in mind ahead of launching.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display which offers a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Also, the pixel density of this handset is 577ppi. So, the display is quite bright and the texts are crisp and clear. So, the display was good as they have done a lot. Also, the handset comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 display which provides you an ultimate protection and we have seen the handset surviving the drop test. The fingerprint scanner has also been added in this handset which is quite better and now, it looks much more like the iPhone 6. The swiping based finger print scanner was not so good as this. So, the company has done that.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 16-Megapixel camera with the dual LED flash and it is capable of shooting 4K HD videos.The back looks quite nice as the back of this device is also having the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 glass on it.The display is 77% brighter than that of the Galaxy S5. So, we were happy to see that the Samsung fans have finally got the design change which they always wanted. Also, the heart rate sensor is also there on the back.of this device. The device is now redesigned and thus, the speakers present on the back were shifted to the lower side. Also, the power button is shifted to the right hand side as compared to the button which was present on the top. The SIM card tray is also removed from interior part to the right hand side just like iPhone. Also, what was not fascinating about this device was the removal of external storage slot.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is quite slim and it is available in different colors. The handset comes with a 64-bit 14nM Octa-Core Exynos processor which is the combination of two quad-core processors along with 3GB of RAM. The phone is solid and it feels solid in the hands. It is not going to bend and that is for sure. The 3.5mm AV jack has also been moved to the lower end. Also, the Galaxy S6 has entered into the non-removable battery types family. The Optical Image Stabilization is also there in the handset. The camera is quite nice and the company has added a new feature called quite capture. To capture any image at that instant you have to double tap the menu button and you will get the camera working on the screen.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 also comes with a 5-Megapixel camera on the front which is world’s first front facing camera coming with the real time HDR feature. It is a 4G device which supports all band in the country and also comes with connectivity features like Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, microUSB port and NFC. Also, the company has included the Samsung Pay with this device. It is running on the Android Lollipop operating system and it will receive the future software updates as well. It is quite light. Also, the metal body is providing some premium feeling and the corners of this handset have also been chamfered. The device is also coming with a 2600mAh battery which is going to give you a good battery life. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is made available in 3 different storage options. The company has finally removed the 16GB storage model. So the handset is now available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with a price tag of Rs. 49,900/-. Rs. 55,900 and Rs. 60,900. It will be available in markets on April, 10th. Overall, the phone is quite good and it is going to beat many smartphones in the price range. So, the first impressions of the device were good.
