Samsung Galaxy Note 5

A few weeks ago, Samsung announced the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. The device was expected for October launch, but Samsung is giving a head start this time as they want to start ahead of Apple. Even Apple iPhone 6S is also launched a e few days ago, and that was a little disappointing. Anyway, here we are for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and this time we can see some improvements. Last time, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge was liked by the consumers instead of the original Note 4

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is coming with the same design and there is no difference this time, except for the screen size, which is totally improved. The handset is now coming with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOED display, which provides a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The pixel density of this display is 518ppi and this time the ppi is decreased with the increase in the size of the screen. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 arrived with a pixel density of 577ppi, but screen was smaller.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is coming with 75.6% screen-to-body ratio. The handset is not made of metal, the back panel of this device is made up of glass, but looks like metal. So, it is was quite good to hold and feel. The viewing angles of this phone were quite good. The device is not coming with a 4K display, but it is sufficient, but in the future we are going to see a lot of 4K phones. On the front of this device, you are going to the display. Underneath this display, you will see a menu button, which also acts as a fingerprint scanner and surrounding this button, there are multitasking and back buttons, which are back lit touch buttons. There is a 5-Megapixel camera present on the front of this handset.

At the bottom end of this smartphone, you are going to receive a 3.5mm headphone jack followed by a microUSB port, which can be used for data syncing and charging, which is again followed by the speaker grills. In the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 we are gong to witness those two all over running lines as well. On the top, you are going to find the SIM card tray. On the left hand side of this handset there is your volume rocker and on the right hand side there is your power button.

On the back of Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the users can find a 16-Megapixel camera, which is capable of recording 4K UHD videos. Also, it is a decent camera, which is having a lot of camera features and it comes with a lot of modes too. This time, the Korean tech giant is coming with a video collage feature, which is used to collage 4 videos. Also, the handset is coming with a protruding camera, which makes the phone unbalanced, when it’s placed on its back. This 16-Megapixel camera also supports Slow Motion and Fast Motion videos.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is coming with a very good finish, it is kind of glossy and attractive. Also, people are already buzzing more about the Note 5. The features of the Edge+ and Note 5 are quite similar. Anyway, the handset is powered by a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57, which means that it is an Octa-Core processor. It supports a Mali-T760MP8 GPU. The processor of this handset is quite powerful and we have already tested out the benchmarks and gaming performance of this smartphone. The internal storage of this device is 32GB/64GB and you can not expand the external storage as there is no microSD card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is running on Android Lollipop platform, and we have to admit that the Korean tech giant has brought some improvements to it’s user interface. The brightness of this handset is quite satisfying, and you can also save a lot of power with the help of Ultra Power Saving mode. It is 7.6mm thin and it weighs about 171g. The handset doesn’t feels heavy, but it feels solid in our hands. Also, it is breakable, and it is not a rugged smartphone, thus, you have to take special care of this handset.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is supported by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 back panel which is coated this time, and it gives you great feeling. It supports Nano-SIM and it is a single SIM device. On connectivity features front, it supports 4G. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

The front facing camera of this phone also gives a good performance and it comes with a lot of modes too. This 5-Megapixel camera is capable of making dual video calls and it records video at 1440p at 30fps. The touch sensitivity of this device is phenomenal and there is no lag. Also, the handset is coming with pre-installed apps like S Health, S Voice etc.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Apple iPhone 6 are shown in the image above. There are a lot of differences and the Note 5 is coming with a S-Pen and this time there are a lot of features included in this handset. The S-Pen again feels good in the hand the overall, the device seems to be quite good at first impression. Watch the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Hands On video below.
