Samsung had introduced their first phablet a few years back, when everyone was mocking about such a big display. Now, the scenario is the Samsung is laughing at those who mocked it at that time. Anyway, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was launched at IFA, Berlin and Samsung India held an event in New Delhi called Blog-A-Thon where 80 leading bloggers across India were invited and we were lucky to be a part of it. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is quite big, no not in terms of display. It is big in terms of everything.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is having a 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display which supports a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is having the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and there is 2.5D display which allows you to see the display from wide angles. The 2.5D display looks awesome and we are sure that we are going to see that display in the next gen phones from the Korean tech giant too.The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a display which offers a pixel density of 515ppi. This device is having a 20% brighter display as compared to the predecessor. The screen looks gorgeous and what we have seen is that the 2.5D glass gives a very good view from different angles. We have seen this display live and it was very bright. It is not the brightest smartphone, but still it is quite good. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm in dimensions and weighs about 176g. Well, we have hand held this device and it is a solid device and we kept it in the palm very comfortably. It is not a slippery device and thus, the chance of falling are quite less. There are two capacitive touch buttons surrounding the push button. On the top, there is a 3.5mm AV jack and on the left hand side there’s volume rockers.There is a 16-Megapixel camera present on the back of this device which can capture good quality images at a resolution of 5312 x 2988 pixels. The smartphone also supports optical image stabilization and there is a single LED flash present on the back of this device as well. We are talking about the rear side of the camera, so, take a look at the back side.The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is having a soft leather faux back panel which gives the premium look and feeling. Also, on the front there is a 3.7-Megapixel camera which provides great features.The Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s front camera allows to make video calls. It also allows users to take the selfies in wide-selfie mode. Sya, What? Well, this is the new mode introduced by the Korean tech giant and with the help of this you can bring more people n your selfie. What you have to do is to place your finger on the sensor present around the LED flsh and then you have to tilt and there you go, More people are there now in your selfie as it allows you to take selfies in 120°.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is 8.5mm thin. It is not the thinnest smartphone of the world, but it s quite solid and it felt solid in our hands too. This smartphone is also quite light weight and doesn’t felt any heftiness in this device. The ‘Note’ series have been always popular with two things. Firstly, the big screen and secondly, the S-Pen. Well, the S-Pen is now slimmer than before and for better grip the company made the ridges better and it is thin, but doesn’t slips.The S-Pen can be used as a scissor as with it you can crop the images. With the smart selct option you can select text from browser and then can paste it in your messages or images. Also, the S-Pen allows to select every images, in gallery once at a time and now, you get rid off mark all and one by one select option.The phablet is running on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system and yesterday, the search giant has launched the Android 5.0 Lollipop and we are sure that it will receive that update as well. Also, on theh software front the device looked quite well settled.
The Galaxy Note 4 is packing a Samsung Exynos 5433 octa-core processor and it is not a true octa-core processor and thus, two quad-core processors have been combined to form this octa-core processor. There is 3GB of RAM on board as well.
The company also showcased the multi-tasking feature and it’s like doing multi-tasking on your PC. So, it is simple, fast and you can take good advantage of this feature too.There is a 3220 mAh battery which is quite fantastic. It last for 2 days and it can be charged upto 50% with 30 minutes. The phablet also come with 32GB of internal storage and you can exapand the external storage upto 128GB via a microSD card. It is having connectivity features like 3G, GPRS, EDGE, NFC, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi. Also, it supports miccro-SIM cards.
