The smartphone world is getting cozy and it’s happening day by day. As we step in the future, we see more smartphones. These a days, we are seeing a lot of budget friendly smartphones around Rs. 10,000/-. But, a few years ago, the smartphone world was not so crowded. So, how the companies are bringing so many smartphones in the country with such a low price tag? They are bringing the 4G phones providing the Octa-Core processors and 2GB of RAM. How they are doing it? The answer is very simple, the companies are using the processors which are  low in price.

The budget friendly smartphones mostly use the plastic design with a corning gorilla glass display. The main cost of the smartphone depends upon the processor. These a days, most of the smartphones under 10K or above it are coming with either the Qualcomm or the Mediatek processor.

Have you ever thought, which is the best processor out of these two? These two are good, but which is the best? If you are searching for that answer, then you have arrived at the right place.

Qualcomm Vs MediaTek:

Mediatek vs QualcommThe smartphone companies are not only fighting these a days, the aggression can be seen among the processor manufacturing companies also. There are many processor producing companies like Intel, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, MediaTek, Exynos and many more. But, today we are going to compare the Qualcomm and MediaTek processors.

A few years ago, MediaTek entered the processor market and today, it is doing quite well. How it has evolved so quickly? This a Chinese company and thus, it led to an advantage. Most of the smartphones are made in China and thus, the processor manufactured in the home country will definitely lead to the price drop. Also, it’s easy as no import is required as there are plants of MediaTek present in China.

On the other hands, if we compare Qualcomm then, we can clearly see that Qualcomm believes in invention and innovation. They want to lead and for that, the company always bring some new stuff. The company has launched a lot of 64-bit processors at CES and these are quite powerful and yet provides support to 4G LTE networks and thus, these are used in budget friendly smartphones as well.

64-bit YesYes

The Qualcomm 410 has been compared to the MediaTek’s Octa-Core processor and thus, you can clearly see that the Qualcomm is the winner as both these processors are supporting the 64-bit Architecture and the only difference between them is cores. So, you may think why we have compared these two processors? Well, these two processors are used by Yu for it’s Yureka and Xiaomi for Redmi 2.

The key thing is that the Snapdragon 810 family is supporting eight cores but are available for the smartphones which are priced above 25,000. So, the comparison is going to give you a better idea about the processors. But, this does not mean that the MediaTek processor is a bad one. The comparison shows that they offers nearly the same specs, but the consumers need to keep the cores as a fact in their mind.

These a days, the consumers are mostly buying the smartphones under 10k INR and these smartphones include either a Qualcomm or a MediaTek processor. The processor is the key component of any smartphone as with out the chipsets the phones can not work and it also leads to faster speed. But, in our opinion if there is an octa-core present under 10k INR and you have a budget of that much amount then, you should invest in the smartphone carrying the octa-core processor as if you want to buy an octa-core processor from Snapdragon then the price of the smartphone will also hike.

The end results are in your hand as you will be using the phone in the future. So, if you have a budget around 10K INR do invest in the octa-core processor as it is surely going to effect a lot. Today, Yu Yureka is there selling millions of phone with their 64-bit octa-core processor leading to a decline the sales of the smartphone carrying the Qualcomm  processors. The benchmarks will surely clear your doubts in the future.

This is the end of comparison. But, you should be interested to know that MediaTek is working on a 10-core processor and it will arrive in next year. So, that is all for now stay tuned while we bring more updates from the technology world.
