The internet has became a very important thing for the people residing on earth and without internet you can not do anything. With the help of internet you can stay connected to your near and dear ones and also, can use internet a lot on good aspects as well. Anyway, a few months back we heard that New Delhi Railway station will get the Wi-Fi service and today, it has. Finally, New Delhi Railway station has got Wi-Fi service enabled. Well, in India we have seen many places where Wi-Fi services are being provided by the Government.
This is a very handy thing as the passengers waiting for their train can surf internet and can get themselves helped to kill the time. The Railway minister said that the Internet has became a very big necessity for the people and the passengers can now get the service.
The New Delhi Railway station is busiest of all and around 5 Lakh passengers travel via this Railway Station. Well, this service is not entirely free. Well, you can use free internet service for 30 minutes and then, you will need to register for the same thing for further use. Once, you have registered you will have to buy the scratch cards. If you want to use the internet for half an hour then you can buy the Rs, 25.- scratch card, while on hour basis the cost rises to Rs. 35/- and it is a better idea as for Rs. 10/- more you can use half an hur more.
The New Delhi Railway station is equipped with the 16 platforms and you can use internet free from any platform. The cost of this project was Rs. 50 Lakh and a total of Rs. 16 Lakh will be used annually to keep this service running. The Indian Government is working well and are planning to provide the free Wi-Fi service like this in the coming year. This service is going to be launched in Agra, Ahmedabad and Varanasi by the end of of this year. While on the other hands, Howrah, Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Secunderabad stations will get the service by January, 2015.
