The first quarter f this year has been very busy for the smartphone market as we have seen so many launches in India. Today, Microsoft Lumia 640 and Microsoft Lumia 640XL has been launched. Both these handsets were unveiled over at the Mobile World Congress and now, they are available in India. The Lumia 640XL denotes the larger version of the Lumia 640 and thus, the price will increase too.

The Microsoft Lumia 640XL comes with a 5.7-inch Clear Black IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display which offers a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The pixel density of this device is 259ppi and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is running on Windows 8.1 platform and it will surely receive the Windows 10 upgrade as well.

The Lumia 640 XL specs also include a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The internal storage of this device is 8GB and the external storage can also be expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card. The Lumia 640XL owners will get 30GB of OneDrive storage space. On the back, there is a 13-Megapixel camera present with Zesis optics and LED flash. On the front, there is a 5-Megapixel camera present for making video calls and the owners can take some good selfies with this device too.

The Lumia 640XL is a dual-SIM device and comes with the connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB port, 3G, NFC and a 3.5mm AV jack. The handset packs a 3,000mAh battery which will provide 23.7 hours of talk time and 39 days on standby mode. This is also available at Flipkart for Rs. 15,799/-. So, if you are sick of Android and want to buy a new phone in this price range then you can surely check this handset out. It is surely going to face a lot of competition from the other smartphones running on Android in this budget.
