The smartphone world is seeing a lot of new launches at this period of time as today, along with the Microsoft Lumia 640 the Lenovo A7000 is also launched. The Microsoft Lumia 640 was unveiled at MWC and this is the latest Lumia handset in the market.  The Microsoft Lumia 640 is a Windows running device and if you are not a big fan of Android then you can obviously opt for the Lumia devices which are running on the Windows platform. The launch event was held in India today and we are going to give you some suggestions about the handset.

Microsoft Lumia 640 Specs:

The Microsoft Lumia 640 is having a 5-inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display which offers a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The pixel density of this handset is 294ppi and it protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is running on Windows 8.1 platform and the company has assured that the handset will receive the Windows 10 update as well.

The Lumia 640 comes with the a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The internal storage of this device is 8GB and the external storage can also be expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card.  Also, on the purchase of Lumia 640 the company is going to give you 30GB of OneDrive storage space. There is an 8-Megapixel AutoFocus camera present on the back side of this device. On front, there is a 0.9-Megapixel camera present which is also capable of taking good slefies and making 720p HD video calls.

The Lumia 640 is a dual-SIM device which comes with the connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB port and a 3.5mm AV jack as well. The handset is packing a 2,500mAh battery and the company says that it is going to provide 20.3 hours of talk time, and up to 35 days on standby mode. It is available on Flipkart and it is priced at Rs. 11,999/-.


The Lumia 640 is running on the Windows 8.1 platform so buy this phone if you like the Windows Platform or you can buy if you desire to use a new platform apart from Android. The handset is pretty good, but if we see the Android phones against it then they give it a tough competition.
