Earlier this month, Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL were launched in India and the handsets were quite good as they provided premium specs with low price. Anyway, today a budget friendly smartphone has been launched in India and it also comes with some good specs. Meet, the new Microsoft Lumia 430. It was launched in March, but today, it has finally touched the Indian shores. The device is priced at Rs. 5,299 and will compete against the Micromax Canvas Spark which is already a big hit in India.Microsoft Lumia 640 comes with a 4-inch WXGA LCD display which offers a screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The pixel density of this display is 235ppi. On software front, it is running on Windows 8.1 with the Lumia Denim update. Also, Microsoft has promised that they will bring Windows 10 to this handset in the future.
The Lumia 640 is a dual-SIM 3G only device and supports connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack too. Inside the handset, there is a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor present along with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage of this device is 8GB and the users can expand the external storage upto 128GB using a microSD card.
Consumers are not going to find any storage issues as along with the above storage options, the Redmond based company is also providing 30GB free OneDrive cloud storage. On the photography front, there is a 2-Megapixel camera present on back and we do not think that it is a good call, and a VGA camera is present on the front.
A 1,500mAh battery is there to provide power to this smartphone, and the company says that it is will provide up to 8.4 hours of talktime, and up to 24 days on standby mode. So, it is a very cheap device and it is going to face a lot of heat from the other devices. Apart from Micromax Canvas Spark, Infocus M2 and Redmi 1S are also there.
