Micomax has recently launched Funbook Alpha after the success of Funbook series.Few days back we had done an unboxing for you and now we are here to give you a full review on it.It is powered by 1Ghz Cortex A8 processor with 512MB of RAM and comes with Dual mali-400 2D/3D Core GPU.

Design and Display:

This device is very slim and sleek with no hardware at the front. The device is neat and clean with only three connectivity ports placed at the bottom. The device is not too heavier either. The screen is 7 inch with a resolution of 800×480 pixels and watching HD videos in this device is pretty much crisp and clear. It comes with VGA front facing camera for video chat.

Funbook alpha runs on 1.2Ghz processor with 512MB of Ram.It also comes with Mali 400 GPU.We tested many games and there was no lag in running Angry birds and Temple run.It has a 4GB internal memory with 1.15GB user available.

It runs on Android 4.0.4 out of the box which gives full access to Google play.Being a version 4.0.4 it does not support face unlock.

Connectivity ports:

It comes with several ports such as micro USB,DC adopter port,3.5mm jack, power key, TF card slot and also with a Reset button and all are placed at the bottom which can be seen below

Battery life:

Micromax Alpha comes with 2800mAh battery and during our battery test it lasts for only 4 hrs with coupal of HD videos, an hr of web browsing and playing  games. The battery life is not good as we expected from Alpha. So you need to carry a charger with you wherever you go.

Availability and Pricing:

The Micromax alpha is available at a price of Rs 5,999 and is available accross india also from various E-commerce website.

Although at this price Funbook Alpha is a must buy Gadget. It is slim, sleek and light weight. The touch response and user interface  is better than original Funbook but it lacks HDMI port.So if people looking for buying a budget ICS tablet they must go for Funbook alpha. We will be coming out with a Video soon.So Stay tuned for more updates.
