A few weeks ago, Micromax announced that they have entered into Top 10 smartphone companies of the world, and it was a proud moment for every. Recently, they have launched the new Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 and they are not going to limit themselves to the smartphones only. Micromax Canvas LapTab was also a major hit, and now, the company has came up with a new concept. Meet the new Micromax Canvas Tabby. This is a tablet which can be used by parents and kids.

The company also held a launch event, but we missed this one. So, there are no hands on images, but we are going to do the complete review of this tablet very soon. The Micromax Canvas Tabby comes with a Dual Mode–Parents Mode and Kids Mode. With this tablet, the parents are going to get the regular stuffs, but the Kids Mode is somethings special because it includes 100+ originally designed applications and access to over 500 carefully curated videos for Education, Creativity and Entertainment, as well as strong parental control system.

At the launch event Micromax’s CEO Vineet said:

We are already well on our way to getting to a market leadership positioning in the Tablet category with our portfolio of 7-and-8 inch tablets. We are now reinforcing our commitment to deepen tablet penetration in the country through the launch of this new offering we’re calling the Tabby, with which we also enter an exciting new consumer segment with a specialized offering. Basis our consumer research, there is strong evidence that a tablet naturally lends itself to usage by children, being a large screen, easy-to-use touch device that is often used as a shared device. With the launch of Canvas Tabby, we are offering to develop kids’ potential through the use of well-designed age appropriate content and great technology. The parental control features as well as the powerful Android mode of the tablet is designed to be a delight for the parents, making this the perfect shared content-and-creativity device for every household.
