Micromax Canvas Spark 2

A few months ago, we witnessed the launch of a cheap phone which rocked the smartphone world and it shocked the other smartphone manufacturing companies. Yes, we are talking about the Micromax Canvas Spark. Well, the company is playing a very smart game, when that phone became less valuable they launched the Yu Yunique at the same price tag. Today, the Indian tech giant has launched an another smartphone, which is the successor to the Micromax Canvas Spark. Yes, we are talking about Micromax Canvas Spark 2. The handset is coming with a lot of good features and the price is decreased too.

The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 is coming with a 5-inch FWVGA display and it is not supporting the HD display. It is running on Android Lollipop and it is a 3G only device. The 3G powered dual SIM Canvas Spark 2 boasts of a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor packed with a 4GB ROM looks good. The users can also expand the external storage up to 32GB via a microSD card. The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 now supports 10 languages which are an amazing feature, which we have witnessed in the Micromax Canvas Unite 3.

The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 is made in India and it is coming with connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax said, “The Canvas Spark proved to be a huge success for Micromax, selling over half a million units in less than two months of its launch. With the Canvas Spark 2, we are yet again reaffirming our commitment to massify the smartphone and Internet usage in the country. Currently, smartphone penetration stands at 12% in the country and 3G adoption is also barely 10%, which presents a huge opportunity to upgrade. We believe that the e-commerce channel is also expanding and the 3-4K category will be the next frontier. Micromax with its strong brand presence and the great product offering focused on democratizing technology has historically cemented itself as the most preferred brand for the mass smartphone segment. With this launch, we are looking at adding a further impetus to this and drive the overall entry into smartphone category.”

The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 is priced at Rs. 3,999 and it is the most affordable 3G phone. Anyway, Registrations start at 10 am on 23rd September 2015 for flash sale on September 30th September at 12 noon
