We have heard this story when a guy based in Pune ordered iPhone from Snapdeal and got bricks instead last year in November. But this time, the same thing happened to a guy who lives in Chandigarh. He ordered the OnePlus One from Amazon India and received a piece of brick inside the box of the smartphone.
According to the post from Maninder Walia, who resides in Chandigarh posted on Facebook:
[blockquote cite=”Maninder Walia”]Amazon India i ordered a cell phone, Order # 402-9246718-(hidden to maintain privacy) from amazon. Package was delivered today which was delayed by 30 hrs but that is least of an issue. When i opened the package, instead of phone i received brick. Package was tampered too. Kindly do the needful, and get this issue resolved #amazonfestivesale[/blockquote]
He shared the post on his wall and also commented on Amazon India’s Page and he mentioned the same thing and then Amazon India replied:
[blockquote]Hello Maninder, I’m sorry to know about this. We’d look into it, please get in touch with us: www.amazon.in/contact-us and we’ll look into it for you. Also, I’ll be hiding your post as it contains your order number, which we consider personal information. Our Facebook wall is visible to the public. If you’d like, please feel free to post again without your order number. [/blockquote]
And then he replied:
[blockquote cite=”Maninder Walia”] I did call ur custom care, but their response was very casual, they didn’t even ask for the proofs, pics etc just asked me have patience and wait till 15 oct. How can they ask some to have patience who spent 22k for a phone and receive a brick[/blockquote]
And then Amazon replied:
[blockquote]I’m sorry to know this, Maninder. I’d like to look into this with you and I’ll contact you shortly.[/blockquote]
More than an hour has passed and nothing has been fixed. The guy said that the packaging has tampered and you can see that above and may be someone has placed that brick inside the box and stole the phone. There are many possibilities and we are waiting for Amazon India’s reply and this is something we heard the first time that Amazon India sends brick.
