“Licorice” name behind Android’s L?

Google showcased their next version of Android and named it L and didn’t provided it complete name and since then the rumor round up has been going on regarding the L and some says its Lollipop where others suggest it to be Lemon Pie. Recently Giovanni Calabrese has posted on his Google+ page a word called Licorice and it may unfold the hidden secret.

If you don’t know about Giovanni, he is the Google designer who works on the statues of the Android that you have seen on the Mountain View lawn. Essentially he will have the inside news regarding the name of Android L since it would be that thing whose statue he would make and in his recent post he said:

Now since the LicoRice starts with L and hence most of the people are connecting it with Android’s L. However it is not completely sure that the name is correct or not. But don’t worry soon they are going to place the statue in the lawn and it would be revealed at that point of time that the designer was right or he was joking around.
