Chinese company Huawei has launched their new device Huawei Mate S at IFA event in Berlin. With the launch of this device, there is going to be tough competition of it against the Samsung and Apple. Huawei Mate S comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back, and a new ‘Knuckle Sense 2.0’ in which pressure sensitive display can sense different pressure points on a display and which can let either zoom into photos or launch apps.
The Huawei Mate S comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) 2.5D AMOLED display.The device is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 935 octa-core chipset mated with a 3GB of RAM. The device comes with three storage options — 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.
On the back, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and optical image stabilization is also there and on the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera along with a LED flash.The device survives on a 2,700mAh battery.
Data-wise it comes with an options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, with the latest Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and GPS. On the software front, it runs on the latest Android Lollipop wrapped under Emotion UI 3.1.The company has priced their 32GB variant for $730 or Rs 48,300 approximately and the 64GB variant for $786 or Rs 51,950 and they haven’t revealed the price for the 128GB variant.
Huawei will launch the Huawei Mate S later this month in the countries like China, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Spain, South Africa and UAE and currently no launch plans for launch in India and whenever there will be some news, we will update you.
