Apple is in the headlines today. Earlier today, we got the release new of iOS 11.2.5 Public Beta 2. Now, we are getting an another news, which should be considered as a rumor. The Apple developers will be thrilled to hear this news. If, you are an Apple developer, then hang tight as 2018 may be your luck year. From 2018, Apple developers will be allowed to create an unanimous application for iOS and macOS.
At this moment, Apple developers are using Xcode 9 and Swift 4 langauge, which is present here along with the Objective C option. Currently, there is no option for the Apple developers to release an unifying application. They have to create a separate application for iOS platform and then, re-write the code from scratch for the macOS platform as well.
Apple developers will be enjoying 2018!
Ironically, all the iOS devices are not getting the applications. All the apps are not available for iPad. All the iPhone users are enjoying there apps, but iPad users are not getting that. Now, at this moment Xcode 9 can be used to create an universal iOS application, but still a lot of apps are created using Objective C.
It will take sometime for Apple to grow it’s Appstore market share for apps in iPad. Also, not to forget macOS users are also at loss as they are not getting vital applications from the App Store. They end by adjusting, but from 2018 you will not have to adjust anymore.
Apple developers are going to enjoy creating applications. Being an Apple developer myself, I think it will help Apple to grow in terms of creating applications. Already, iPhone X is creating a lot of buzz from the Apple developers. They have to adjust a lot of things in order to use the full screen display. Big apps are updating, but for smaller apps iPhone X users have to wait for them to be updated.
Anyway, this is going to be a big thing for Apple developers and we can hear this coming out at WWDC, 2018.
