Samsung has done a fantastic job over a past few years and they actually get the number one ranking in the smartphone market, but they have never stopped and they will never. The Korean tech giant has started bringing new innovations and started investing in new projects as well. Anyway, apart from all these big murmurings, Samsung has launched a camera with Android operating system on it. Well, it was something new and the credit goes to the Korean giant. Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 vs Galaxy Camera
The company announced the Samsung Galaxy Camera last year and they did announced it’s successor-Samsung Galaxy Camera 2–a few minutes ago. A few day ago, we reported that this device is going to show itself over at the Consumer Electronics Show also known as CES 2014 and it really did. Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 is also carrying some good stuff, but we have to learn the improvement done by the company in this new camera. So, this small comparison will surely help you. Samsung Galaxy Camera is running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 is running with the Android Jelly Bean operating system as well, but the version get changed and thus, it is running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Well, both these devices will be keeping their eye on the Android 4.4 KitKat update which may be released for the old gen also. Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 is having that same 16.3 megapixel 1/2.3 BSI CMOS camera sensor which we witnessed in the original Samsung Galaxy camera as well. The optical zoom is also kept same and it is still providing 21x. Also, one more thing is same, which is the screen as both these devices are carrying that 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD display. Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 is having an internal storage of 8GB as compared to the 4GB, found in it’s predecessor. Well, both these devices are having a microSD card slot and you can upgrade both these camera’s memory to 64GB. The older device is packing a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor and the new one is packing a quad-core Exynos 4412 processor which is better than the last year’s processor. Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 also got an improvement in terms of connectivity feature as well. So, what’s that? The new device is loaded with the NFC connectivity feature and also, a big battery i.e. the 2000mAh battery is there to keep the camera alive for a few more hours. Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 and the original one is having that same weight. Well, that is all about these two. We can surely see that the new camera has improved, but not by a greater margin. Also, these products are not showcased yet and thus, we have not used the new one. So, the comparison has been done on the basis of specs.
