A few days ago, Sony invited us for it’s latest launch. This time, it was a DSLR and some other high end power point cameras. This was a special kind of event as we went through a lot of DSLRs and found this camera quite worth checking out. This is a kind of DSLR, which leaves a lot of other cameras behind in this race. We are talking about the Sony RX100 IV and it is a Cyber Shot that comes with a lot of features and a good price tag. So, let’s go ahead and talk about this latest Cybershot from Sony.
The Sony RX100 IV comes with a 20.2-Megapixel camera sensor which is a 1.0 type(13.2mm x 8.8mm) Exmor RS CMOS sensor. It supports the ZEISS Vario Sonnar T-Lens, 14 elements in 11 groups(7 aspherical elements including AA Lens). The F2.8 constant is there with 7 blades of Iris Diaphragm. There is Auto/On(3 steps)/Off ND filter and it supports a focal length of f=8.8-73.3mm. Take a look at this elongated lens below where you can see the power of this camera, and how much it can zoom.
The Sony RX100 IV comes with an outcoming tilted LCD display which looks quite awesome and it is not very big, but the lens is the key feature of any camera and we have to say that the lens of this camera is again very good. The Sony RX100 IV CyberShot comes with this out coming screen which looks quite good, but you can not rotate it so, if you want to take some images while holding the camera upwards, then it will help you a lot. It comes with a 7.5cm display, which supports an aspect ratio of 4:3 and it is a TFT LCD display. It supports the brightness control too.
The LCD can be adjusted by 180 degrees in the up direction and 42 degrees in the down direction. It supports a 0.39-type electronic viewfinder(XGA OLED). It has got 100% field coverage, which is again a very good thing and it comes with a lot of buttons too. On the front si,de we can see there os a movie button along with the scrolling wheel, which helps in changing the scenes and other modes. You can also select AF and Function button to make the changes. The display button is also there to rotate the things and at the bottom you can use the delete button to delete everything and the media player button is there to play the videos and see the pics.
On the top of Sony RX100 IV you can see that there is the camera button and there is a on and off button too which works on sliding. The shutter speed can also been seen on this LCD and you can set the ISO by rotating this wheel. Also, the LED light on button is there and the flash button is there too.
The Sony RX100 IV supports both RAW and JPEG images and you can also shoot FHD videos using this camera with it’s basic lens. Also, it can shoot slow motion videos at 5fps and you can also select portrait, sport action, landscape,macro, sunset night scene and many other modes. It supports self timer too and you can hold it very easily. Also, in the box you will get a Sony branded strap too. It supports WI-Fi and NFC. You can also use Sony and other Android devices to get the live images and it will surely help you a lot.
The Sony RX100 IV comes with various drive modes and a lot of other features are also included in this camera as well. It supports 1080p FHD videos at 30fps and you can also record the videos in different other formats as well. So, it is quite good in terms of pricing as well. This CyberShot suports SD/SDXC cards and you can use the new fast reading and writing SD cards launched by the Japanese tech giant.
The Sony RX100 IV Cybershot is the latest launch from the company and we have tested out this new camera. These cameras are one of the best ones from Sony and we can use them for different purposes. This can be used by amateurs and professionals. So, this monster Cybershot is priced at Rs. 69,990. and it is already available in the market. It is coming with a lot of features and feels kind of good too, but we will come back with it’s full review in the coming weeks.
