A few days ago, we witnessed the new MediaTek Helio processors, which supported 10 cores and now, Qualcomm has made their return. Well, these a days especially in India we are witnessing a lot of smartphones that are coming with low price tags. So, Qulaomm has launched the new processors keeping this thing in their mind. SoC makers Quallcomm has now introduced their two new processors for the mid range smartphone. These are the Snapdragon 430 and Snapdragon 617. The company claims the high end performance on these chips and both of these comes with the 4G LTE support and the latest QuickCharge 3.0 as well.
Talking about the small variant the Snapdragon 430, it is an octa-core chip clocked at 1.2 GHz. It comes in support with the Adreno 505 GPU. Networing capabilities include the X6 LTE and CAT 4 download speeds upto 150Mbps with the uplink speed upto 75Mbps which is good for the price that the company will going to offer to the smartphone companies. The QuickCharge feature is also nice as with this feature you are going to charge your phone battery upto 85% within 35 minutes and this will increase the performance power of the phones as well.
For the Snapdeagon 617, it is also an octa-core chip clocked at 1.5 GHz and comes insupport with the Adreno 405 GPU. It supports the X8 LTE verssion of the 4G connectivity faster than the 430’s modem. The downlink speed is about 300Mbps and the uplink is 100Mbps. The camera support is max. upto 21-megapixels. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 can be seen in the upcoming pones around Rs. 20-25000.
Both these chips will be seen on the upcoming mid range smartphones. This will be far better than the previous SoC as there will be faster 4G LTE support and the Quick Charge 3.0 technology that let user able to charge their smartphone 3-4 times faster than the ordinary USB charger.
