A few years ago, LG launched it’s first gen ‘G’ phone which was very much liked by the consumers and time has flied away to the launch of LG G4. So, finally LG G4 is launched. This is a global smartphone and will be available in most of the countries and thus, it will arrive in India too. The smartphone comes with a good design and and the leather back finish is going to give the users a more premium feeling.
On the spec front, LG G4 comes with a 5.5-inch QHD ‘Quantum’ IPS capacitive touchscreen display which offers a screen resolution of 2560 x 1446 pixels. It is a polycarbonate body and is slightly curved. Well, LG believes that a curved body leads to a better grip and also, with this the smartphone becomes 20% durable. It is 8.9mm thin and the looks of this device are awesome.
The LG G Flex 2 was launched at CES and from then, the expectations were very high. There are back mounted buttons present on the rear side. The pixel density of this display is 534ppi and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 display. As compared to the LG G3, it is 25% brighter and provides 50% more contrast.
It is powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of LG G4 is 32GB and the consumers can also expand the external storage upto 128GB via a microSD card. Also, the users will get 100GB of free storage on Google Drive.
On the back of this handset, there is a 16-Megapixel camera present with laser Autofocus and OIS. It is capable of shooting 4K videos, while on front, there is an 8-Megapixel camera present for taking selfies and making video calls. It is running on Android Lollipop 5.1 wrapped under LG UX 4.0. On connectivity features front, it supports 4G+LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
A 3,000mAh battery is there to provide power to this smartphone. LG has also said that it is a removable battery which can be charged wireless too. Within 30 minutes, user will be able to charge up their phone upto 60%. The LG G4 will start its global roll-out on April 29 in Korea and will eventually be available on approximately 180 carriers worldwide. Prices and carrier availability will be announced locally in each market.
