LeEco Le 1S Hands On

LeEco Le 1S Hands OnA few days ago, LeEco(previously known as LeTV) has held a launch event, where the company has announced two new smartphones for the company–Le Max and LeEco Le 1S. In this post, we are not going to talk about the LeEco Le Max. The LeEco Le 1S is a massive hit. Already, 300,000 smartphones have been registered online and it is coming with a lot of good features too. The LeEco Le 1S is not only giving a tough competition to the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, but it is going to create problems for the Lenovo K5 Note too. This post is all about the LeEco Le 1S Hands On Experience. So, let’s start talking about this phone.

LeTV L1S 6 The LeEco Le 1S is coming with a good design and it is quite different from the other phones in its price range. Personally, we have found some Chinese touch to it but that was not bad. It is made up of good material and the phone feels quite good in our hands too. The design is a little similar to that of the Le Max and the only thing is that it is much more powerful as compared to the original phone about which we are talking,

The LeEco Le 1S is coming with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, which supports a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display was good at this price range as this is an in-cell display with 500 nits brightness. We haven’t tested out the 2K video playback on this smartphone display yet, but still the texts look sharper and at Rs. 10,900, it can be a good one, but still we ned to check out this display thoroughly.

The LeEco Le 1S is coming with a good screen to body ratio and we think it is okay. It is not bulky and it is kind of light weighted device, which feels solid in the hands but it is not that much heavy. It weighs about 169 g and it is lighter than the Google Nexus 6P. Not to forget, it is also 7.5mm in thickness. It is not the slimmest device of the world, but still you are looking at one of the best phones present in this price range. The price tag of this product is very good and we have no doubt about it.

These a days, the consumers like the phone with best specs and cheapest price. Coolpad Note 3 Lite is there too which is also one of the best products out there at the cheapest price, but there is no premium feeling as it is totally made up of plastic. Anyway, the LeEco Le 1S is coming with a 3.5mm headphone jack which is present at the bottom of this product  The headphones they offer are also of premium quality and we have tested that out. Those were quite good in-ear headphones.

LeTV L1S 7 The bottom part looks similar to the design, which we have seen on most of the Apple and HTC smartphones. Anyway, this design is now a trend now and most of the smartphone companies are using this design. The LeEco Le1S is also coming with a fingerprint sensor and thus, a fingerprint sensor is no longer a premium thing to shout about. It has become a common thing, even the Coolpad Note 3 Lite has got the fingerprint sensor, which is priced at Rs. 6000. t is a Single-SIM device and the users can also find the SIM Card removal tool inside the box. The handset supports 4G+LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is almost no bezel and the bezel which is even present out there is one of the thinnest bezels which we have seen on any of the smartphones. The LeEco Le 1S is running on the Android Lollipop operating system and thus, it is kind of a disadvantage as a lot of months have been passed since the launch of the Android Marshmallow, but still there are only a few phones coming with pre-installed Android Marshmallow.

The high-end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 are not getting the Android Marshmallow update at all. We hope that the smartphone will receive the Android Marshmallow update in the near future, but it might take some time.

LeTV L1S 4The LeEco Le 1S is coming with a 13-Megapixel camera, with LED flash and you can see that the lens of this device is quite okay. It comes with the ISOCELL sensor PDAF and we have tested out this camera too. The camera was not too good, we will be honest with you guys. It was okay and we have seen a lot of smartphones with better cameras, but the companies have to do this trick also. The camera of the Lenovo K4 Note was also not good. Anyway, do stay tuned we will compare both these smartphones as soon as possible.

The LeEco Le 1S is coming with a 5-Megapixel camera which is present at the top and is looking quite good. The shutter speed was quite fast. The handset feels very good in terms of holding the device. The handset is coming with an internal storage of 32GB and the users can also expand the external storage via a microSD card.

LeTV L1S 3 The SAR value of this device is decent and more than that the handset is coming with their own user interface which was quite good. It was not the best and flexible UI which we have seen, but still it was pretty okay. The Control Center on this product looks quite good and it allows you to do a lot of tasks from a single place.
