A few decades back, our ancestors were not able to see their near and dear ones for many years, They were not able to call them, or let themselves know where their son or daughter is. Two-third part of Earth is covered by Water, but it is totally covered by technology these a days? Do you know how technology transformed our life? From where, it began and how we are seeing everything in front of our eyes. Well, if you do not know we will tell you a little bit, but National Geographic is going to help you a lot with their new seriesĀ “90’s: The Unforgettable decade”.

Technology was started developing in the era of Thomas Edison and Graham Bell, but Steve Jobs, Tim Berners Lee, James Gosling lead technology to where it is today, They invented Apple, HTML and Java respectively. Do you know, Steve Jobs has left Apple and he rejoined Apple in his era?

The decade of 90’s was very important as most of the things were developed at that time. In 90’s, Java and HTML were invented without which you may not have visited this website. Even ‘www’, which stands for World Wide Web was created at that time. In that era, Microsoft email service was created and today, it is a billion dollar company. Many search engines were developed in the 90’s and apart from that, Digital Cameras were started arriving.

In the late 90’s Digital Video Recorders, abbreviated as DVRs, were released. So, technology was immensely developed in that time, which led us to here today. What we have and what we are using today is only because of technology. At this moment, we can use smartphones with fingerprint sensor, which was considered impossible. Iris scanner are also coming in future, Google Glass, Google Loon, and many other projects are also in works

Technology not only helped in innovation, but it helped each and everyone of us to connect with each other via calls, video calls, emails etc. So, everything started from 90’s. This is how technology transformed the world. It was short, we know. Want to know more? Go ahead and stay tuned to National Geographic’s new show–“90’s: The Unforgettable decade”.
