Apple has held the WWDC 2012 event and the event has just ended.Well, it was an awesome event where there were many announcements like the announcement of the new MacBook Pros, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro with retina display, Apple 3D Maps ans at the end the new iOS 6 operating system.Well, the new operating system is quite cool and user friendly too this operating system has got Facebook integration, 3D Maps, Passbooks and some more apps, but how much the Cupertino giant has worked on the iOS 6.What are the differences between this OS and it’s predecessor.We will find out all here in this OS war post.

The new iOS 6 operating system has brought the new Siri  while the old Siri was of limited language access.The new updated Siri with iOS 6 supports much-much mkre native languages like Chinese, Swedish, Italian, Korean and more.iOS 5 has brought Siri but that Siri was not able to book Hotels and Restaurants for you and neither it can tell you all the details about a sports person but the new Siri with iOS 6 can do all these stuffs and Apple is claiming that it has became much more faster than the previous Siri and it takes half the time to give results than the original Siri, so, it’s very impressive and looks like Apple boys have done some really neat stuff.

The most impressive thing that we have seen about the iOS 6 operating system is the Appe built 3D maps.iOS 5 has provided users the Google Maps but this time Apple has said Good Bye to Google Maps and the new 3D maps are already pre-installed.The 3D maps bring turn by turn navigation also which helps the user in finding their paths very clearly.This map provides awesome Satellite view and at the demo time Apple has just shown how it’s fast and how it’s harmful for the search giant.The 3D map brings real time traffic update as well and the turn by turn navigation has completely gone visual and spoken too, it also shows flyover and helps a lot during a traffic jam as well.

iOS 6 gives you more features to make the things you do every day even better. It’s coming this fall, and it’s free and easy to upgrade wirelessly on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch — the moment it’s available.Also,on the social networking front the new iOS 6 is far better than the iOS 5 operating system as the nee OS brings integrated Facbook and in your device’s calendar you can see Events and Birthdays.So, now you can easily share your photo, just from the camera and even using Maps the 3D Maps actually you can just tell your location to your Facbook friends directly from your phone.The Cupertino tech giant has mainly tried to make this operating system to solve our day to day problems and one thing is sure that it’s quite user friendly.Another new hing that Apple haw introduced in the iOS 6 OS is the shared photo stream and it’s just a new thing and has made sharing photos easier than never before.With this application you can share just the photos you want, with just the people you choose. Simply select photos from the Photos app, tap the Share button, choose who you want to share your photos with, and they’re on their way. Friends using iCloud on an iOS 6 device or a Mac running Mountain Lion get the photos delivered immediately in the Photos app or iPhoto.So, it’s a really handy thing and it’s going to save a lot of our time.

Next up is the new Passbook application, it’s a new application but we are not going to talk about it.Well, Apple’s biggest achievement about the iOS 6 operating system is it’s compatibility.The new iOS 6 is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch,iPad 2 and the new Apple iPad.So, it’s a huge differences as iOS 5 was not compatible with the iPhone 3GS and even iPhone 4 has got this update after many difficulties, but we have not expected that this OS will even be compatible with the iPhone 3GS.Well, hats off to Apple they have done a really good job.The Cupertino tech giant has ls announced the new Facetime and with this new updated Facetime you can call even over the cellular network, Wi-Fi is also there, but still you can now call from anywhere and any place, so, it’s an another important difference between these two operating systems.

iOS 6 adds new calling features to your iPhone. Now when you decline an incoming call, you can instantly reply with a text message or set a callback reminder.It brings more luxury to our day to day life as in pur regular life we get even call at night and many of us get frustrated after getting late night calls, so, to solve that issue Apple has introduced the No Disturb button and before you go to sleep just switch on this button to get rid of late night calls, but think whatvwill happen if your boss calls you at 3:00 AM for an emergency situation an what if he knows you are just sleeping and snoring, anyway apart from those jokes there is nothing going to happen like this as at the do not disturb mode youa re allowed to select a few people whose your phone will get call and will disturb you, so, no freedom from boss here also.So, this do not disturb feature makes your phone more useful and the iOS 6 operating system more cool.

Next thing is the accessibility as the iOS 6 operating system brings guided access.A new thing apart from the iOS 5 operating system.Guided Access helps students with disabilities such as autism remain on task and focused on content. It allows a parent, teacher, or administrator to limit an iOS device to one app by disabling the Home button, as well as restrict touch input on certain areas of the screen. Overall, iOS 6 operating system is much-much better than the iOS 5.it’s powerful, user-friendly advanced and much more secure than iOS 5.This is not world’s advanced system, but still the reputation of Apple has increased.Anyway, that’s the difference between these operating systems and clearly we can judge that iOS 6 is better, but is it so great to beat Android.Anyway, for now, just check out our blog for more details from WWDC 2012.
