A few days back, it was reported that Google and Asus is manufacturing 600,000 tablets in June and today, a new report has come which tells about the Android 4.1 running Google Asus Nexus 7 and this tablet is shown over at the benchmark test.Well, folks over at Android Police have done a little more search and found that the codename of this device is grouper and those of you who do not know what is grouper just read on, grouper is a just a little codename which is given for the fake Nexus models and last year, before the launch of Galaxy Nexus, which was also rumored as Nexus Prime was codenamed as grouper as Nexus prime was the fake name, so, it’s a little fishy and need more evidence for it’s existence.
The specifications of this tablet is showing that this device is running on Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. This is also a big topic for discussion as last year, it was reported that it will be running on Android 5.0 Jelly bean operating system, so, will it be running on Android Jelly Bean or the search giant will delay the launch of this OS. Anyway, other specifications tells us that the Google Asus Nexus 7 tablet will be having a 7-inch screen and ofcourse, it will be a capacitive touchscreen which is 768 x 1280 pixels in resolution.
It packs a 1.3GHz Cortex-A9 NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor along with NVIDIA ULP GPU.Well, Google I/O 2012 is just around the corner and hope that the search giant will launch this tablet over there and also, hope that the company will launch the Android 5.0 Jelly Bean operating system over there.Anyway, a lot more to come in the coming days and weeks, so, stay tuned.
